We design mechanical and structural steelwork, check it properly by hand or FEA, and hand over drawings the workshop can build from straight away. We also design kitchen exhaust, ventilation and air conditioning for fit-outs and plants. Based in Perth, working across WA for industrial, mining and architectural clients. You deal with the engineer doing the work, registered on the National Engineering Register (NER), not a sales desk.
Services that carry a job from the first sketch to the fabricator: mechanical and structural design, ventilation for kitchens and plants, and tensile membrane structures form-found, analysed and patterned in-house.

First-principles design, FEA verification and manufacture-ready packages. Built around Australian Standards and the realities of fabrication.

Manufacturing-ready drawings to AS 1100, with weld schedules, bolt callouts and BOMs ready for direct release to the fabricator.

End-to-end mechanical product engineering, concept, DFM/DFA, verification, prototyping, manufacture. For founders, OEMs and industrial businesses.

Shade sails, canopies and tension fabric roofs. Form-finding, non-linear analysis to AS/NZS 1170.2, patterning, and the masts and footings underneath.
Commercial kitchen exhaust, make-up air, general and industrial ventilation and heat loads. Calculations, fan duties and drawings to AS 1668.2 that mechanical contractors can price and build from.
A short list, on purpose. These are the things we do a lot of and do well, not a padded menu.
Every job is designed and checked against the Australian Standards that apply to it. The main codes we work to are below.
Additional standards consulted as required, including NCC / BCA, AS 1428 access & mobility, AS 1418 cranes, AS 4024 machinery safety, and project-specific client specifications.
A recent WA job: rating the arms on an existing cantilever rack. The hand calculation said one thing, the finite element model said another, and the gap between them was the whole answer.

Displacement on a loaded angle arm. An open section has almost no torsional stiffness, so the load sitting off the shear centre rotates the arm and drops the toe. Size the vertical leg alone and the rating comes out optimistic.

Von Mises stress at the arm to upright connection, with the fillet welds built as separate bodies. The moment and the twist both land here, so this is where the rating is won or lost, not in the middle of the arm.
